Letter from Olympia, week 4

Legislative update from Olympia

Dear Neighbor,

Thanks for your recent emails, letters, phone calls, and visits as the 2018 legislative session unfolds. In recent days I spent time with teachers, students, adult family home owners, nurses, home care workers, a brewer, a transit worker, City of Puyallup officials, labor advocates, a pediatrician, and many others.

On Wednesday, the Senate recognized first responders and others who were involved in the December 18 derailment of Amtrak 501—you can read more about this below.

This week I hosted a telephone town hall. Thanks to those who participated. You can see the results of our poll questions here. If you didn’t get the chance to participate, I will be hosting another telephone town hall later in the session.
