Investing in Pierce County

The Senate released its capital budget this week, which pays for statewide infrastructure to maintain and construct public schools, higher education facilities, parks and other state and community assets.

I was able to secure a $1.38 million grant for Wesley Homes Bradley Park to help provide better community residential and care options for local seniors, $980,000 to expand the Franklin Pierce Early Learning Center, and $500,000 toward a future public plaza near the Meeker Mansion in Puyallup.

I will continue working to make sure this funding makes it into the final capital budget as we work with the House of Representatives to complete our work.
